Financial Accounting Internships
Knowledge and Skills:
- Strong numerical and financial acumen
- Outstanding written and verbal communication abilities
- Proficient in MS Office applications (including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)

- Demonstrates a high level of dedication and proactivity
- Effective organizational skills and innovative thinking Requirements
Minimum Requirements:
- Grade 12 qualification
- National Diploma in Accounting, Financial Management, or equivalent
- Currently unemployed with no prior work experience
- Has not completed an internship previously
- Age between 18 and 35 years
Custom Controlled Areas Internship
Key Performance Areas:
The successful candidates will gain relevant workplace skills and experience to prepare them for the job market.
Development and training areas will include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Supporting the maintenance of effective customs processes and control systems for efficient Customs Controlled Area service.
- Providing administrative assistance in organizing unit meetings, creating agendas, taking minutes, and preparing progress reports.
- Helping gather all necessary documents for SARS representatives, internal, and external auditors.
- Collecting data for reports and communicating with internal and external stakeholders.
- Keeping the business informed of any changes in SARS acts relevant to the RBIDZ.
- Assisting in monitoring compliance through SARS audits and regular reviews of CCA processes.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Understanding of SARS legislation and statutory requirements, including the Customs Act, Excise Act, Value Added Tax, etc.
- Communication skills for written correspondence, interactions, and presentations.
- Proficiency in MS Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Economic Transformation Intern
The chosen candidates will acquire practical workplace skills and knowledge to ready them for the job market.
Areas of focus for development and training will encompass:
- Supporting the maintenance of efficient customs processes and control systems in the Customs Controlled Area service.
- Providing administrative support for unit meetings, agenda creation, minutes taking, and progress report preparation.
- Assisting in gathering required documents for SARS representatives, internal, and external auditors.
- Compiling data for reports and liaising with internal and external stakeholders.
- Keeping the business updated on relevant changes in SARS acts concerning the RBIDZ.
- Aiding in monitoring compliance through SARS audits and regular reviews of CCA processes. Knowledge and Skills:
