Requirements: ABET/Grade 11 certificate and Grade “C” PSIRA or equivalent qualification. 1-2 years of experience in security work. No criminal records or charges pending against you. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Capability to work varying shifts and hours (Day/Late night, including weekends and holidays) due to the nature of the job, subject to screening.
Skills and Expertise:
Knowledge of Security regulations, protocols, and Systems, Public Service Guidelines, Security Records, Batho Pele Standards, MISS, Excellent customer service skills, effective communication, interpersonal skills, and Problem-solving skills. Time management.
Duties:
- Includes enforcing access control measures
- Providing escorts to visitors and contractors on site
- Conducting electronic searches on individuals and their belongings using metal detectors and x-ray machines.
