Moshal Scholarship South Africa (2024)
The Moshal Scholarship Program operates in South Africa and Israel, aiming to support highly motivated and determined students in completing their university education, thereby improving their future prospects and potentially benefiting their communities.
Currently, the program supports around 1000 students in South Africa and Israel and has funded 1173 students who have successfully graduated with advanced degrees.
The Moshal Program is now accepting applications for its scholarship program for the 2024 academic year.
Scholarships will be granted for degree studies in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) and Commerce fields at selected universities.

The Moshal Program provides a supplementary scholarship along with the following advantages:
- Individual support during the course
- Assistance with career planning Workshops and professional training
- Extra English instruction
- Training in writing CVs, mock interviews, and internship opportunities
Applicants must meet the specified minimum entry requirements to be considered. These include:
- Being enrolled or planning to enroll in a degree program in one of the designated fields in 2024,
- Studying or planning to study at one of the specified universities: University of Witwatersrand (Wits), University of Cape Town (UCT), University of Pretoria (UP), University of KwaZulu-Natal (UKZN), University of Johannesburg (UJ), Stellenbosch University (SUN), and University of Free State (UFS).
- Attaining a minimum score of 70% in English, Mathematics, Physical Science, and/or Accounting, and
- Having a family income not exceeding R200,000 per year (before deductions).
Required Documents:
- Certified ID copy
- Passport copy and study visa copy (if not South African)
- Parents or guardians ID copies
- Declaration / Consent Form signed by parents or guardian – if you are under 18 years old
- Proof of all Social Grants (letter or statement, not copy of SASSA card) OR parents or guardians 3 months’ bank statements from ALL of their bank accounts
- Grade 11 November results
