Responsibilities:
- Deliver products promptly in bulk or bag to assigned customers, ensuring no driver-related defects
- Maintain fuel consumption at agreed standard
- Inspect tires, lights, trailer couplings, and maintain oil and water levels to accepted standards
- Ensure the truck is well-maintained, including general cleanliness and bodywork condition, with no missing equipment or spare wheels
- Report defects and aim for zero breakdowns, prioritize vehicle safety, and adhere to good driving practices, including safety inspection stops
- Conduct initial fault finding for vehicle breakdowns, including tire changes – Maintain availability on cell phone
- Avoid speed and traffic-related fines.
Qualifications:
- Licensed Code 14 driver for long-distance transportation of products between units.
- Handles vehicles weighing up to 23,000 tons.
- Reports to a unit Supervisor.
- Primarily utilized in Bakeries.
- Displays energy.
- Maintains alertness while driving.
- Demonstrates ownership when fatigued.
- Exhibits honesty.
- Shows punctuality.
